When nature is the museum

I have been living in Cape Town, South Africa, for almost a year now. Compared to European capitals which I was used to, the city does not have a big museum offer. It has some great museums, District 6 or Zeitz Mocaa being among them, but it is quite light (quantity-wise). Moreover, the museums are never very busy – except for tourists. It is a shame. Even though it is light in terms of quantity, the museum offer is of good quality, content and design wise. So I have wondered. Why do so few locals go to museums? It is…
